Shaolin Cowboy was Darrow’s darling many years ago whenever he was publishing the series through Burly Man Entertainment, which was done in part with the Wachowski Brothers, and ran for seven issues. This October, Shaolin Cowboy is back as a three-issue monthly from Dark Horse, with the second issue clocking in 64 pages alone. My head just exploded!
Darrow isn’t giving away any details on what the new series will be about, but we can expect more of the same exotic locales, strange circumstances, tons of chatting done by the supporting cast as the Shaolin Cowboy does what he does best – kicks butt!
This announcement has me very excited because I loved the series years ago along with the Frankenstein comic book series that was also written in drawn by Steve Skroce. One can only hope that the Frankenstein comic will also come back as well.
Kudos to Dark Horse Comics for bringing back this fantastic series. It will be awesome to see Darrow’s artwork even for three issues because every time you see it, it’s just a feast for your eyes.
