Marvel in July is basically Superior Spider-Man Month with some old Spider-Man titles ending and new Spider-man titles beginning, so if you’re not getting enough of the Doc Ock Spidey, there’s even more to come!
If you’re a fan of the TV show “Dexter” then you won’t want to miss the new Marvel comic series starting in July. It’ll be a five issue limited series that sees Dexter confronting two of his worst nightmares: his high school reunion and a former classmate that just might have a terrible secret that could end Dexter!
We’re also getting a brand new Wolverine miniseries with a reality star chef by the name of Chris Consentino. The Top Chef Master is bringing his culinary skill over to writing and is getting a mini series starring Wolverine as claws contrast to steel knives in this action adventure from the debut of the Top Chef master.
If you can’t get enough of Deadpool killing people, well, in July, Deadpool is going to kill himself with his new Deadpool Kills Deadpool mini series. this is the final installment in the Deadpool Killogy and he has now set his sights on the ultimate target…which just so happens to be himself!
If you didn’t get enough of the Avengers vs. X-Men storyline that took place last year you will be able to get another dose of Avengers vs. X-Men goodness in the form of the new What If? Avengers vs. X-Men mini series written by Jimmy Palmiotti with art by Jorge Molina. In this new What If? miniseries, it explores the idea of Magneto actually receiving the power of the Phoenix and the consequences thereof. It will also be jam packed with Magneto, Hope, and every Avenger and X-Man you can imagine in the Marvel Universe! Be sure and check out What If? Avengers vs. X-Men #1-4.
July also brings us the celebration of 25 issues of Miles Morales as the Ultimate Comics Spider-Man. It’s really a testament to the quality of the character and the quality of the creative team to have a brand new Spider-Man celebrate 25 issues in this day in age. Not only will Cloak and Dagger be along for the ride, but this issue will also celebrate more young heroes as they debut in the series. The big question is…who will they be?
