New issue of Hawkeye out today, bro. Check it out, bro. Actually, if this was your first issue of Hawkeye to pick up, you might be somewhat disappointed. This was the first issue that I found to be somewhat confusing. Fraction has a certain style of storytelling he has been doing with this book and … [Read more…]
We finally get some of that famous Bendis “standing around dialoguing” in this issue. It isn’t that terrible though, as I feel it pushes the story forward. Bendis gives us a clear definition as to where Cyclops and Emma Frost currently stand with each other (though I honestly had to go and look to see … [Read more…]
Nova #1 (2013) Review by Randy Young This is a book that I picked up for two reasons. The first is that it will supposedly have strong ties to the cosmic event that will happen this summer. The second is that it will have Gamora and Rocket Raccoon. The premise behind this book is that … [Read more…]

The Sixth Gun #29 Review and The Sixth Gun: Sons of the Gun #1 Review by Randy Young The Sixth Gun might be the best comic that most people are not reading. This book is a mixture of western and horror. Issue 29 is almost a filler that introduces us to characters that will be … [Read more…]
Thor: God of Thunder #5 Review by Randy Young Thor: God of Thunder is currently being hailed as one of the strongest restarts of the Marvel Now! movement. This issue is a great example of why. Aaron has been giving us three stories in one: Thor of the past, current, and future. The events of … [Read more…]
Avengers #6 Review by Randy Young Jonathan Hickman is still in setup mode with issue 6. He is still introducing us to the extensive, new Avengers roster. This huge roster is a negative and a positive. It is almost too big to handle and really give the characters the proper attention. However, Hickman takes certain … [Read more…]
Superior Spider-Man #4 Review by Randy Young Superior Spider-Man is hitting its stride for me. The past two issues have been quite good. I really like this idea Slott is exploring of having “Peter” be the best that he can be in all aspects of his life. It really does make you stop and think … [Read more…]
Justice League of America #1 Review by Randy Young To quote Fred Willard from A Mighty Wind, “Wha’ Happened?” This first issue was an obvious setup issue, a get to know who’s on the team. What Johns gives us is a train wreck. Here are a few of the things that irritated me. I am … [Read more…]
