It’s another great week for comics and this week is one of the best weeks in a long time. Randy, Charlie, and Chris sit down and pull out their favorite comics for the week of August 21, 2013 and review and roundtable their favorite books for the week.

Chris starts off this review segment with Batman and Nightwing #23 from DC Comics . This issue is written by Peter Tomasi with art by Patrick Gleason and this is the final issue of the five stages of grief that Batman has been dealing with since the loss of Damian Wayne. In this issue, we find Batman trying to figure out how he could have saved Damien only to find out that he never could have done it alone and we also find out that Bruce wasn’t the only person that lost a son during this whole ordeal.

Next up is Charlie with his review of Conan the Barbarian #19 written by Brian Wood with art by Paul Azaceta. Charlie is loving this series and never ever considered himself a Conan fan but started because Brian Wood is writing this series, so he had to get on board. This finds Conan and his partner on the trail of the Black Stones and the forces at work to prevent them from ever finding them.

Randy rounds out the reviews with Avengers #18 and is both happy and excited to see the return of Jonathan Hickman to the writing chores of this series. This issue also provides us with a lots of story background for what is going on in the Infinity event. While Randy thinks that the previous 4-5 issues of this series have been subpar at best, he loves the fact that Hickman is back in all of his glory for this issue of Avengers.

And finally for the roundtable for this episode, Randy, Charlie, and Chris sit down and talk about a brand-new Image Comics series called Ghosted. This fantastic heist adventure series is written by Joshua Williamson with art by Goran Sudzuka and follows Jackson Winters, a notorious thief, that is broken out of prison and is set on the task of stealing a ghost from a haunted house for an eccentric collector so that he can add it to his collection. This is been a fantastic series with only two issues released so far, but we are expecting a lot more from this fantastic series.
